Hygiene & Cleaning Supply Outreach
Help us distribute much-needed hygiene and cleaning products! This program is focused on our friends needing a little extra help with obtaining hygiene and cleaning supplies.
You can:
Pack hygiene and cleaning supply bags for event.
Hand out supplies at one of our outreach distribution events.
Host a hygiene drive to collect items from our wish list.
Street Outreach
Join us for an impactful experience as part of our street outreach team. During these outreach events, we bring essential services directly to experiencing homelessness, providing dignity, hope, and a chance for a fresh start.
Weather Preparedness: Street outreach happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
Time Commitment: Outreach events typically last a few hours, and on-the-job training is provided!
Age Requirements: Youth volunteers (12 -15 years old) must be accomplished by a parent or guardian.
You’ll help with tasks such as:
Pack hygiene items in bags at event.
Welcome and engage guests to create a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere.
Offer hygiene supplies to our guests.
Shower and Laundry Service
Jump in during a service event to connect with guests and help the crew keep things running smoothly. We work outdoors, rain or shine, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety. We provide on-the-job training for all volunteers, so don’t worry if you’re new!
Here’s what you’ll do:
Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Sign our guest up for shower and/or laundry service.
Clean and prep the showers after each use.
Pack hygiene kits to enhance our guest’s experiences.
Keep the area tidy and organized.

Youth Volunteers
We encourage young people to get involved in their community! However, due to the nature of our work, we have a few guidelines:
On-site shower and laundry service opportunities are not ideal for children under the age of 12.
Young adults (12–15 years old) may volunteer under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Please note that we cannot be responsible for the actions or words of our guests.
Special Opportunity During College Football Season: High school students aged 16 and older are invited to volunteer with us during college football season at NC State! This is a great chance to gain community service experience, engage with others, and support our mission in a dynamic environment.
