Hygiene & Cleaning Supply Outreach

Progam Overview:

Help us distribute much-needed hygiene and cleaning products to our neighbors! This program is focused on our friends needing a little extra help with obtaining hygiene and cleaning supplies.

You may help with:

Pack hygiene and cleaning supply bags for event.
Hand out supplies at one of our outreach distribution events.
Host a hygiene drive to collect items from our wish list for a drive.

What to expect :

Weather Preparedness: Our outreach happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.

Time Commitment: Outreach events typically last a few hours, and on-the-job training is provided!

Age Requirements: Youth volunteers are welcome! Ages 12 -15 years old must be accomplished by a parent or guardian.

Street Outreach

Program Overview:

Join us for an impactful experience as part of our street outreach team. During these outreach events, we bring essential services directly to those experiencing homelessness, providing dignity, hope, and a chance for a fresh start.

Welcome and engage guests to create a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere.

Shower and Laundry Service

Program Overview:

Jump in during a service event to connect with guests and help the crew keep things running smoothly. Our shower and laundry service offers guests the opportunity to refresh and rejuvenate.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Sign our guest up for shower and/or laundry service.
Clean and prep the showers after each use.
Pack hygiene kits to enhance our guest’s experiences.
Keep the area tidy and organized.

Weather Preparedness: Our shower and laundry service happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.

Time Commitment: Shower and laundry services typically last a several hours, and offered in 4 hour blocks. On-the-job training is provided!

Age Requirements: Youth volunteers are welcome! 12 -15 year olds must be accomplished by a parent or guardian.

Youth Volunteers

We encourage young people to get involved in their community:

All youth are invited to our Community Outreach events.
Youth 12 years of age and older are invited to join our Community Outreach, Street Outreach as well as our Shower and Laundry services.

Special Opportunity During College Football Season: Youth 16 and older are invited to volunteer with us during college football season at NC State! This is a great chance to gain community service experience, engage with others, and support our mission in a dynamic environment.

Due to the nature of our work, we have a few guidelines:

On-site shower and laundry service opportunities are not ideal for children under the age of 10.
Youth (10 –15 years old) may only volunteer under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Please note that we can not be responsible for the actions or words of our guests.
